Jan Hendrik Viljoen started mineral collecting at the age of 6, at age 14 started cutting Cabochons at the Pretoria Gem and Mineral Club. After obtaining his highschool diploma, he enrolled in the Tshwane University of Technology, Jewellery Design and Manufacture course, which he completed and obtained his National Diploma in Jewellery Design and Manufacture. He is currently manufacturing jewellery full time and also acts as a mineral dealer and diamond setter.
Leoni Viljoen started gem cutting in 2002. Battling pre-conceptions that only men can become proficient gem cutters, she rose to the occasion and now works independantly. Several South African jewellery and Gemstone companies sub-contract work to Leoni, and in most cases trust only her to do a professional, quality job. Leoni mostly cuts larger designer cut and centre piece gemstones for high-end jewellery and also specializes in repairing damaged tanzanites.
Charles Maia apprentised in jewellery manufacture in 2005. With a natural inborned talent for jewellery manufacture, Charles is set to become one of the most talented goldsmiths in South Africa. Charles mainly specializes in manufacturing one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces for jewellery connesuirs.
